I have always loved Peter, who stumbled in his discipleship, but repented of his mistakes, and carried on to be called by the Lord to “feed His sheep”. I think that it is important to remember, that even though his fears overcame him after he’d obeyed the Lord’s command to join Him on the sea, Peter had the faith to take those first steps instead of staying safely on the boat.
